Cheadle CEO deemed 'most likely to become a Unicorn' by Goldman Sachs

A Cheadle-based CEO has picked up an unusual-sounding accolade from Goldman Sachs.
Sara Lou-Ann Jones, founder of the Centre of Excellence, was deemed 'most likely to become a Unicorn' by the banking company at an awards ceremony in London.
But far from referring to the mythical animal, a 'unicorn' in this case means a startup business with a value exceeding £1 billion.
Sara's remarkable business was founded from her living room in 2012, and aims to provide affordable, accessible education across the world.
With its online learning opportunities, the programme has helped over 2 million people in 150 countries, and generated over £40 million in revenue.
Sara has big plans for the business and has set the target of impacting the lives of one billion people worldwide.
Her success was recognised in a special awards ceremony on 18 March at London's Tate Modern.
She was nominated by fellow graduates of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme in the UK, who cited Sara's 'ambition' and 'huge potential'.
Charlotte Keenan, head of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK programme, said: "Many congratulations to Sara on winning this award.
"A Unicorn is a business with a valuation of over £1bn and Sara is committed to achieving that goal. At Goldman Sachs, we firmly believe that SMEs are the backbone of the UK economy. By championing and supporting them, we can help pave the way for sustainable, long-term economic growth."
