Bramhall Day
Village Square, Bramhall
Fairs
UNTIL Saturday 9th March
Bramhall is in for a treat this weekend as a special 'Bramhall Day' event takes place throughout the village.
Visitors can expect all sorts - from music to a Worker Bee market.
The Worker Bee markets run on special occassions throughout the year in various locations in Stockport. Each market features around 40 local artisan traders, purveying everything from homeware to homemade pies.
The Bramhall event - due to take place from 10am on Saturday 9 March - is no exception. More than 40 traders and makers, many of them local to Bramhall, will set up in Village Square, for a full day of trading and activities.
What's more, in addition to the traders, a wide range of performances, activities and workshops will also be taking place on the day, making the event doubly special.
The event will begin from 10am, with traders, workshops and performances running throughout the day, culminating in the Rock Night from 8-11pm (Image - Worker Bee Markets)
Local magician Simon Hobday "Hobbers" will make an appearance to wow visitors, and local musician Liam Foran will be singing his own compositions and playing some covers on the day also.
Alternatively, if you fancy trying your hand at making a birdbox, or a paella, or fashion design, workshops will run for all three of these activities throughout the day.
Rounding the day off with a bang with a 'Rock Night' at The Honey Pot, featuring live music and Polish cuisine from 8-11pm.
Clare Simpson, curator of the markets, said the event "will celebrate all that's great about the local community".
She added: "I'm excited to be taking on this fantastic event this year. The local community is right behind it and we're looking forward to a great free family day out."
