Filming takes place in Stockport town centre for new Netflix drama

Filming is underway in Stockport town centre for a new Netflix series.
Crews arrived in Stockport on Wednesday 7 May to shoot scenes for 'Run Away' - the new series based on Harlan Coben's book of the same name.
As a result, Market Place is closed to vehicles until after Friday 9 May.
The series will feature a star-studded cast, with the likes of James Nesbitt, Ruth Jones, Minnie Driver, Alfred Enoch, and Lucian Msamati all taking on roles.
It's expected to be released in early 2026.
Speaking with Tudum - Netflix's fan festival - Harlan Coban said: "Run Away is about family — about what we will do to keep our family intact, what secrets we keep within our family, and what secrets we keep as a family.
"Every time you walk past the house, there's a whole universe that goes on behind that door and none of us have a clue what it is."
It's far from the first time that Stockport has been used as a filming location.
Fool Me Once - another Harlan Coben adaptation - was filmed in Stockport, and the town has also hosted film crews from Daddy Issues, Peaky Blinders, and many more.
