The Reddish Renaissance - mural project aims to beautify dilapidated areas
'Revitalise Reddish' is a project which strongly supports the idea that living in a beautiful area has a profound impact on wellbeing.
This project aims to paint nature-inspired murals on two dilapidated walls in Reddish, bringing colourful artwork to what would otherwise be dreary and unassuming facades.
The project is organised by Reddish Community Together (RCT) in collaboration with Heart Murals, and has been made possible by a fundraiser which, as of time of writing, is only a few pounds away from its £1,500 goal.

David set up The Giving Garden project after he visited his grandmother at a Stockport care home and noticed that some residents received few or even no visitors.
When his grandma passed away last year, he used some of the money he was left to change this.

Thanks to GRIT Studios - the artists' studio based at the end of Canal Street - that will soon change.
The ideas hatched within this old industrial unit are set to completely transform the area; a testament to the transformative power of art.
From 4 September, a crack team of local and Argentine artists will begin a remarkable project of beautification, painting street art and murals all along the walls and shutters.
