A persevering Stockport resident has learned to swim again while living with Parkinson's disease.

Mike, who served in the army from 1959 to 1971, has long been a keen swimmer. Unfortunately, since the onset of Parkinson's disease, he had lost touch with his habit.

However, with a great deal of resilience, and help from his care team at CareYourWay, Mike took to the water again and rediscovered his aquaticism.

A CareYourWay spokesperson said: "After weeks of preparation and hard work, Mike finally took the plunge, with his care team cheering him on every step of the way.

"Mike's story is a powerful reminder that with the right support, no challenge is insurmountable.

"Thanks to CareYourWay Stockport, Mike not only achieved his swimming goal but also regained a significant part of his joy and independence."

Well done, Mike!
