Stockport Nub News sponsor to take part in Stockport Krazy Races for Heatons charity
By Alex Greensmith 15th Jun 2026
Three fun local organisations have joined forces to raise a rip-roaring amount for charity.
High Peak Comps has signed up to Totally Stockport Krazy Races to raise funds for Heaton Moor charity Signpost for Carers.
The online prize draw operator will ride a giant clog shoe around St Peter's Square, Stockport, to raise funds for the local charity that has supported carers since 1986.
The race event will take place on Sunday, August 9.

High Peak Comps founder Charles Edwards and longest-serving employee Callen Deighan will be riding the soapbox for charity.
"Me and Cal are going to be riding in a clog-style shoe to raise funds for Signpost for Carers," said Charles.
"We recently installed a defibrillator at their Heaton Moor site, and learned all about their hard work supporting both young and adult carers.
"And just days after we paid for the installation of a defibrillator at Signpost for Carers, we are proud to announce our participation in Totally Stockport Krazy Races raising vital funds for the charity.

"Signpost for Carers do so much for the community, so in their 40th year, we are determined to fundraise £1000.
"Our motto is to change lives through our online prize draws, while having a laugh, and to take part in a time trial soapbox race while raising funds for this historic Stockport charity is truly a highlight of my life.
"Thanks to Bethan at Signpost for Carers and Danny at Totally Stockport Krazy Races for this opportunity. See you on August 9."
High Peak Comps will be competing against Stockport businesses such as Robinsons Brewery, Stockport County FC, and Royal Nawaab.

The latter of that trio will be joining High Peak Comps in raising money for Signpost for Carers.
Bethan Kelly is CEO of Signpost for Carers.
"We're absolutely thrilled that High Peak Comps are choosing to support Signpost for Carers through Totally Stockport Krazy Races," said Bethan.
"For such a fun, energetic and community-driven event, who better for us to work alongside than the amazing team at High Peak Comps, who bring fun, passion and energy to everything they do including their community work.
"At Signpost for Carers, we know how important it is for carers to have moments of joy, connection and support, so seeing local organisations so keen to support in creative ways to raise awareness and funds means so much to us.

"Every penny raised will help us continue supporting unpaid carers, ensuring they feel seen, heard and valued.
"We can't wait to cheer the team on and be part of what is set to be an incredible day for the whole community."
High Peak Comps will also donate raffle prizes in aid of the charity on the day.
Totally Stockport Krazy Races is co-organised by Danny Scoffin.
"We're delighted to welcome High Peak Comps to Totally Stockport Krazy Races and to see them using the event to support our fantastic Stockport headline charity," said Danny.

"The creativity, enthusiasm and community spirit they've already shown perfectly capture what Totally Stockport Krazy Races is all about.
"We can't wait to see Charles, Callen and their giant shoe take on the course in August, and we're looking forward to an incredible day of fundraising, entertainment and community celebration."
