Reece Grady, a swimmer from Stockport, has picked up one gold and two silver medals at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinidad and Tobago.

The talented athlete, of Stockport Metro Swimming Club, finished first in the men's 400 metre individual medley swimming race with a time of 4:25.16 minutes.

The individual medley involves four different swimming styles in one race; in other words, one swimmer must complete four distances with four strokes: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle (the freestyle can be anything other than one of the aforementioned three strokes - swimmers usually opt for a front crawl).

Reece also picked up two silvers in two separate freestyle races - a 1500m and 400m, finishing with times of 15:31.22 and 3:54.74 respectively.

This year's Commonwealth Youth Games takes place in the Carribean country of Trinidad and Tobago, and is open to athletes aged 14-18. England Athetlics, however, opens selection only to athletes aged 16-17.

The Games take place from 4 – 11 August, with past participants including Jessica Ennis-Hill, Jazmin Sawyers, Dina Asher-Smith, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Lawrence Clarke.

With such a promising stint at the games, it may not be a surprise to see Reece among these names in a few years' time.

You can find the men's 400m individual medley below. The race starts at 29.00 minutes.
