Champions! Stockport County have secured the League Two title following a 5-2 win over Notts County at Meadow Lane.

It was a performance worthy of champions, too, with County playing fluidly and aggressively throughout.

The Hatters were 3-0 up even before half time, thanks to a hat-trick from Madden.

Sarcevic buried the game at 60 minutes to make it four.

Whilst Langstaff and Crowley were able to bag two quick goals for Notts County, Ethan Pye ended any hopes of a comeback with a final 84th minute strike to finish the game 5-2.

Manager Dave Challinor, who described this season as the biggest achievement of his football career, said: "It feels amazing."

"People expected us to get promoted and win the league, but is it that easy? Of course it's not.

"But a special group of players have got us that accolade, and they thoroughly deserve it.

"I've had staff and players with me that have worked ridiculously hard to get that opportunity."

Speaking of next season, the gaffer said: "Without doubt, there's a challenge ahead of us, but a challenge that we all needed, and that we'll absolutely look forward to and embrace."
