County's difficult start to the season continues with another draw at home. 

The Hatters lost control of a 2-0 lead, with the reds 2-3 up at the 87th minute. A late strike from Tanto secured a point for County. 

The hosts started the game well, with an incredible half-volley in the twelfth minute from Louie barry. 

County kept up the pressure, doubling their lead in the 35th minute as Antoni Sarcevic dinked the ball over the keeper to secure his first goal of the season. 

The tables turned, however, not long after, as Crawley's Adam Campbell caught the end of a cross from the right wing. 

Not long into the second half, the reds equalised after a similarly optimistic cross from a free-kick found Laurence Maguire, who evaded his markers to make it 2-2. 

The bad luck continued when a scuffle for the ball found its way through the bunched defenders and to Danilo Orsi, who made it 2-3 and was very keen to flaunt it to the Cheadle End. 

It seemed to be a repeat of last week's game at Mansfield, until Tanto nicked a goal in the 88th minute and secured at least a point for County. 

The optimism amongst fans seems to be ebbing away. With this draw, County's figures now come to five points from 18 games, or one win in six. 

After the game, manager Dave Challinor said: "Very good start in terms of tempo and how we played. [...] Then, I just think we got flat. 

"We're 2-0 up in front of 8,000 people, and I just thought we looked a little bit flat. You need to be able to perform in front of these supporters.

"Goals conceded changed the mindset of the players. We are fortunate to get a point.

"If we're going to be where we want to be at the end of the season, we can't afford not to take three points when we're 2-0 up, and we can't afford to score three goals at home and not win."

This game was the subject of additional scrutiny, given Challinor's alleged conversations with Charlton last week. 

Speaking on his future at the club, the gaffer said he was 'not close at all' to leaving County.

"I committed my future here, and nothing has changed on that front.

"I came here with the objective of having an infrastructure in place that would help me achieve everything I wanted to achieve at the current stage in my career. 

"Nothing has changed on that front. I want to be Stockport County manager. 

"Just because we've not had the start to the season we wanted, that doesn't change my belief in myself, my staff, [or] the group that we've got."
