16-18 year olds across Stockport are encouraged to try out the 'Our Pass' membership scheme, which provides not only free bus travel, but also a range of discounts and exclusive offers.

For a one-off £10 fee, eligible members can travel on most local buses, any day of the week, for free.

As for the exclusive offers, these can range from concert tickets to merchandise. In Stockport, for example, a free seven-day gym pass at Life Leisure is on offer. Further afield, Our Pass offers Stockport residents the chance to win free tickets to the Halle Orchestra in Manchester city centre.

Olivia, an Our Pass Member, said: "It opens up so many doors for you. You can not only save money, but also get anywhere you want, with anyone you want – so make sure your friends apply as well so you can travel in a group.

"You can get to town and go to a restaurant with your friends – it helps you socialise as well, which is really good."

Our Pass is aimed at young people who live in Greater Manchester, supporting both school leavers, who are in years 12 and 13 or equivalent, and care leavers up to the age of 21.

Around 50,000 young people in the Greater Manchester region are already signed up. To find out more about Our Pass, eligibility and the exclusive discounts available, visit www.ourpass.co.uk
