80s Live! | Stockport Plaza | Friday 17 January | 7.30pm
Get transported back to the '80s at this top live music performance.

A description for this event reads: "Get ready as we bring you – direct from The Adelphi Theatre in London's West End – the biggest 80s party show to tour the UK – 80s Live!
"We will make you feel shiny and new as we travel back in time to one of the most iconic eras of music for the night out you have been dreaming of – put your hands together and get into the groove as our live band Electric Dreams perform over two dozen chart topping anthems from Wham!, The Weather Girls, Culture Club, Rick Astley, Madonna, Duran Duran, Soft Cell, The Human League, A-Ha, Tears for Fears and more."
Antiques and Collectors' fair | Stockport Town Hall | Saturday 18 January | 9am - 3.30pm
2025 is the fiftieth anniversary of the original and popular antiques fair inside the stunning ballroom and committee suite at Stockport Town Hall.
Expect 130 stalls piled high with antiques and vintage items for all tastes and budgets.
There is car parking on Lacy Street at the rear of the town hall, as well as hot and cold refreshments in the cafe.
Cash admission is £2.50 per person or £2.00 with concessions, accompanied children under 14 free of charge.
Outside the Box Comedy Night | The Garrick | Saturday 18 January | 7pm (doors)
Outside the Box is hosting a comedy night at the Garrick on Saturday 18 December, featuring Andrew Bird, Pam Ford, Frankie Monroe, and MC Tony Burgess.
Outside the Box comedians perform in a number of clubs across the UK, with legendary names such as Stephen Merchant, Bill Bailey, Dara O'Briain, Lee Mack, Jimmy Carr, and more all having made appearances for the club.
This is not the only comedy night at the Garrick, with dates set throughout the year. Each night features four comedians from Outside the Box, including both circuit comics and brand new talent.
As the club states: "Not only popular for recognisable faces, Outside The Box strives to find the best circuit comics and brand new talent to each and every venue.
"Every bill is designed specifically for each club and we're proud to be known for having a group of gigs that are not only fun for the audience but also for the comedians who perform."

Stockport Alternative Market | AMP (11 Market Place) | Sunday 19 January | 11am - 4pm
Find 12 stalls of gothic, horror, witchcraft the strange and the beautiful at this Alternative Market.
It's free entry!
The organisers said: "We are so excited to start 2025 with our first market of the year at a new location right in the centre of Stockport Market place.
"AMP has a fun, dive bar theme - perfect for our vibe! It also serves bangin' food we will be putting on an alt / goth / metal/ new wave / grunge playlist..."
