Veterans to get free travel across Stockport and Greater Manchester this weekend

Service members past and present will be able to use free travel on buses and trams this weekend.
The Bee Network is offering free travel from Saturday 28 - Sunday 29 June for all current and former military personnel, in celebration of Armed Forces Day.
It means that any passengers who can show their MOD90 card, or their veterans' badge / rail card, will get free use of Bee Network services.
The same also applies to cadets in uniform.
Introducing the scheme, Transport for Greater Manchester said it was a chance to show support for those who serve.
Danny Vaughan, Chief Network Officer at Transport for Greater Manchester, added: "The Armed Forces community makes an invaluable contribution to our society, and we're showing our appreciation with free travel on Bee Network buses and trams across Greater Manchester this weekend.
"It's a special weekend and one we're proud to get behind as part of our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant - a promise from the nation that those who serve or have served, and their families, are treated fairly."
