Two people have been charged with various offences following an investigation into reports of a teenager being attacked with a substance.

The incident took place on Vaudrey Road on 24 March.

A 22-year-old has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, conspiracy to cause GBH with intent, two counts of possession of a corrosive substance, and aggravated burglary.

A 47-year-old was also charged, in this case with conspiracy to cause GBH with intent.

The two will appear at Manchester Crown Court on 17 May.

The investigation continues, and police are appealing for any information.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Officers are continuing to work on the investigation, and have asked anyone with information to please come forward.

"This can be done by contacting police on 101, via gmp.police.uk, or by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111."
