Three Stockport men charged with violent disorder following riots

Three men from Stockport have been charged with violent disorder following riots in Manchester. 

The men were charged in relation to rioting which took place in Manchester over the weekend of 3rd-4th August.

Police have since been 'relentlessly pursuing' those believed to be involved.

A fourth man was charged with "distributing, showing or playing a recording with intent to stir up racial hatred. 

Greater Manchester Police identified the men as follows:

  • "Aaron Davy (06/08/2006) of Liney Road, Cheadle, charged with violent disorder."
  • "Aaron Johnson (14/08/1991) of Criterion Street, North Reddish, Stockport, has been charged with distributing, showing or playing a recording, with intent to stir up racial hatred."
  • "Joseph Ley (25/01/1994) of Hardman Street, Stockport, has been charged with violent disorder."
  • "Shaun Holt (12/4/1982) of Oak Road, Stockport, has been charged with violent disorder and assault."
