Meet the lifelong Stockport County fan behind a huge fundraising effort for Uganda
Keith Mills has been a Stockport County fan for 75 years, although this represents just one small aspect of his energetic and ambitious character.
Keith has also been a teacher, cook, referee, and - along with his similarly remarkable wife Jeanette - is the founder of Forever Friends of Uganda (FFoU), a huge fundraising effort aimed at transforming poor communities.
Educating and inspiring village children is 'the heart' of what FFoU does; creating the conditions whereby children can realise careers and ambitions which would otherwise have been inaccessible. The transformative impacts this has on the village - let alone the children themselves - pays dividends in spades.

Well-known Stockport jewellers relocates to new store in the Underbanks
SJS Smith Jewellery is to become the latest addition to Stockport's Underbanks, with a new shop due to open on 2 September.
The new jewellers is located in the old 'Stage Door' building.
The ground floor of SJS Smith will be a retail shop, selling founder Sam Smith's creations. Underground will be a workshop, which will host silversmithing schools for complete beginners; workbenches will also be available to rent for more experienced silversmiths, and there will also be drop-in sessions for jewellers to collaborate, socialise, and use communal tools.

Incredible pictures show progress on Stockport's first rooftop park
The multi-million pound transformation of Stockport's bus station has reached a new milestone with the planting of the first trees in the rooftop park.
Now the oval structure of Stockport Interchange boasts what will become a new green space for locals to enjoy. Further landscaping work is underway to transform the area above the new bus interchange into a two-acre public greenspace in the heart of the town centre.
The project is committed to complying with Stockport Council's 2:1 tree planting policy, with a minimum of two trees planted for each one removed.

New book and DVD shop opens in Merseyway shopping centre
Merseyway's 'Pop Up Shop' will host 'Books for Less' until Sunday 3 September.
The new store sells pre-loved books, CDs, DVDs and more, at bargain prices. It opened for business yesterday (21 August), following the closure of the Uniform Shop which previously occupied the site.
This is an eclectic mix, to be sure, so head down and have a rummage!
