It was a bit rainy in parts, but that never deterred anyone.
Quite the opposite, in fact; last weekend's Town of Culture bash is responsible for the town centre's busiest day of the year so far.
This bonanza of performances, talks and tours took place from 23-24 March, and saw town centre footfall increase by 47% on Sunday and 14% on Saturday.
The event marked the end of Stockport's year as Greater Manchester Town of Culture.
And it did so with a bang, showcasing a broad and wide range of things of cultural import to Stockport.
Artists, musicians, historians, actors, orators - all were out in full force.
The air raid shelters, and the newly re-opened Hat Museum, for example, saw a huge boost in visitors, with more than 5,000 people taking advantage of free entry throughout the weekend.
Stockport's music scene also featured centre stage, not just with a string of top live performances, but also with tours and talks on the town's musical heritage.
All this and more rounded off Stockport's Town of Culture tenure, with an emphatic showing which begged the thought: New Berlin? Berlin is the New Stockport, more likely.
