Remembrance Weekend passed yesterday in various ceremonies across the borough.
Events ranged from Stockport town centre's massive Sunday ceremony centred around the War Memorial Art Gallery, to more humble, small-scale commemorations.
Take a look at some pictures from across the borough, commemorating service men and women from Stockport and beyond.
Stockport Town Centre's Remembrance Sunday event saw service men and women, political leaders, religious leaders, and other representatives. Bishop Sam Corley led most of the service, which maintained a prevailing message of peace.
On Saturday, Hazel Grove celebrated an anniversary of its own - the centenary of its war memorial, built in 1923. This ceremony was opened by the Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, Diane Hawkins, and featured a poppy-tree carving that was unveiled by the Mayor of Stockport, Graham Greenhalgh.
Other monuments and ceremonies across the borough were more modest in scale, emphasising the depth as well as the breadth of loss; whilst country-wide events celebrated the collective loss, these smaller monuments are testament to the individuals - the names, as opposed to the figures.
