Pizza Hut is closing 79 restaurants across the country - but the Stockport branch isn't one of them.
The pizza chain appointed administrators on Monday 20 October, meaning 68 of its restaurants and 11 of its delivery sites will close, but 64 other locations will be saved.
Pizza Hut confirmed which stores would be closing today (Tuesday 21 October), with Stockport surviving. However, nearby closures include Ashton, Oldham, Manchester Fort, Bolton and Rochdale.
The closures are a result of 'challenging trading conditions and increased costs', TimeOut reports.
It's expected to put around 1,200 workers at risk of redundancy.
However, the administration deal struck with Yum! Brands - an American hospitality brand - has meant that a remaining 1,277 jobs at Pizza Hut's 64 other UK sites have been saved.
Stockport Pizza Hut will continue to serve pizzas, desserts and more from its branch at 103a Wellington Road South, near Stockport College.
