Bonfire night is approaching which means the sky is set to light up with fireworks displays across Greater Manchester and beyond.

In Stockport, the council is not organising any displays in 2025, but there are still events taking place around the borough to attend.

Here are some of the events taking place in Stockport this year.

Bredbury St Marks Cricket Club

On November 1 an event is taking place at Bredbury St Marks Cricket Club from 6pm to 10.30pm.

Organisers say there is no bonfire but there will be a fairground, food (piri piri, pizza, fish and chips, sweet treats) and drinks vendors, the bar is open, and a few light-up toy stalls too.

One of the highlights of the evening looks to be a performance of firebreathers.

Tickets are priced at £8.96 for adults or £5.27 for children aged three to 16, with ticket bundles available for families of four or five.
