'Significant' traffic delays in Cheadle following car transporter incident

There are currently 'significant' delays to traffic in Cheadle following an incident involving a car transporter.

Stockport Council reports that there are delays around Roscoe's Roundabout after the nearby railway bridge sustained damage in an incident this afternoon (Tuesday 21 October).

The roundabout remains open.

Network Rail engineers are now on site to assess the damage and safety of the bridge.
