Stockport County FC have been raising money for Prostate United this October.
Prostate United is a fundraising initiative from Prostate Cancer UK - it has set an October challenge encouraging football clubs and their fans to run, walk or cycle, in the hopes of raising money for lifesaving cancer research.
Head coach Dave Challinor has been doing 25 kilometres on a bike every day to raise money in aid of prostate cancer.
Coaches Dave Conlon, Stuart Irwin, Sam Holt and Tim Holloway have been running five kilometres every day of this month.
According to Prostate Cancer UK, in England more than 44,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer and more than 10,000 men die from prostate cancer every year in England.
Stockport County F.C are one of many EFL and Premier League Clubs taking part – in a bid to be at the top of the leaderboard for the most money raised throughout the campaign.
