Worker Bee Markets return to Stockport borough for 2025 - here's what to expect

Worker Bee Markets, Stockport's only Handmade Market curator, is limbering up for the first events of 2025.
With hit venues including Broadstone Mill in Reddish, Bramhall Village Square and new regular venue, the United Reformed Church in Hazel Grove, owner Clare Simpson says her role is more like directing a performance than organising a shopping experience.
"You have to think about your cast - getting the best people to perform on the day. Our makers are talented, friendly and approachable. They bring quality and integrity as well as putting on a blooming good show on the day, showcasing the makes and bakes they've been perfecting over the winter months.
"We've brought together a dream team of makers for our first events. You'll find authentic Street food, lovingly handmade crafts and gifts as well as beautifully designed jewellery and homeware. There are seasoned performers and new, featured artists and crafters too.

"Each one has been chosen for their characterful affordability, their unique knowledge of the local area and, most importantly, their unrivalled talent. There'll be a few sub plots too from the charities and community groups we support as well as entertainment and activities for families to enjoy.
"Find the stars of the show and enjoy a piece of the action. The stage is set for a year of blockbusting shows. Look out for a couple of plot twists of our own as we pop up in other areas too before the year is out."
The first events are an International Food & Craft event in Bramhall Village Square (SK7 1AW) on 8 March, Broadstone Mill in Reddish (SK5 7DL) on 29 March and Short Street United Reformed Church (SK7 4AD) on 12 April.
If you're a maker and want to find out more about joining the markets, there's more info on the website or you can email [email protected].
