There is lots to do in Stockport this weekend!

Kicking off the weekend with a bang on Friday evening is local rock band The Last Here, who will be performing at The Spinning Top with support from High Sobriety, Eddie Mooney & The Grave, and The Cathodes.

On Saturday, Edgeley's Castle Street will host a fun day and market from 11am-3pm.

And there's a brilliant event for families on Sunday, as a Horrible Histories show takes to Stockport Plaza.

A description for this event reads: "We all want to meet people from history. The trouble is everyone is dead! So Horrible Histories is back in with revolting rulers and mad monarchs from Britain's barmy past!

Would you be wooed by Richard the Lionheart? Are you ready for a date with King Edward I? Would you be shaken or stirred by Richard III? See Mary Tudor knock the spots off Mary Queen of Scots! Can evil Elizabeth entertain England? Will you be hanged by King James for being a witch? Sing along with crazy King Charles and move to the groove with party Queen Victoria!

Boasting the funniest and most outrageous regal scenes from the hit Barmy Britain shows, Rotten Royals promises Stockport will be most amused! It's history with the nasty bits left in!
