'Record' success for local Cheadle business
A local business is preparing for 'record' success this year, with a projected £17m in turnover.
Short Construction Ltd is a building contractor based in Cheadle.
It currently has 10 projects underway across the North West, totalling £35m in gross development value.
The projects are a range of commercial, residential, and healthcare developments.
One of these is Daisy Bank Park - a 72-unit residential scheme designed by architects Ollier Smurthwaite for Britannia Group in south Manchester. Other live sites are located in Liverpool, Ellesmere Port, Speke, Altrincham and Macclesfield.
Head quartered in Oak Green, Cheadle, Short Construction has made several key appointments this year to manage its increased turnover and projected growth. This includes Operations Manager Daniel Van Den Bos who joined the firm in March.
"The first half of 2024 has been exceptionally busy", said Adrian Short, the founder and managing director of Short. "We expect demand for our services to continue to rise as market confidence returns.
"The new Labour government's policies signal significant investment and growth opportunities across the property industry and nowhere are ambitions greater than in the North West.
"We are excellently placed to support this, having strategically invested in our team to ensure we have the inhouse capacity and expertise to deliver high calibre schemes such as Daisy Bank Park, which is the largest project we have ever secured. We are confident in our ability to meet any client's needs and derive huge satisfaction in successfully steering developments through to completion."
Established in 2010, Short Construction built its reputation on delivering high-quality residential schemes ranging from single luxury properties to multi-unit sites. Its expansion into commercial projects has proven equally successful with clients across the North West currently including Cube Homes, Voyage Care, Parti Architects, August Blake and Becker Industrial Coatings.
