Popular artisan market announces move to new location in the heart of Reddish

By Alasdair Perry   10th Dec 2025

The organiser of a monthly market in Reddish will be moving to a new location in the heart of the area.

Worker Bee Markets - which runs regular markets across Stockport - will be hosting events in The Houldsworth Arms on the last Saturday of every month, starting from 28 March, 2026.

The markets used to be held at Broadstone Mill Shopping Outlet, and although the move marks the end of an era for Worker Bee, organiser and founder Clare Simpson said: "We can't wait to move to our new Reddish home."

At the markets, visitors can expect to find more than 50 traders and makers, many of whom are themselves based in the Heatons and Reddish.

They'll be selling everything from homeware to street-food, and all at affordable prices.

Clare added: "Our new venue manager has the same ethical outlook as we do. They are all about community and supporting local businesses and the district centre.

"We have the same attitude. Between a third and a half of our traders at the Reddish markets are hand-picked from Reddish, The Heatons and Denton.

"And we give away free stalls to local charities and community groups too, giving them exposure to loads of new customers and supporters."

And that's not all - Worker Bee regularly hosts other markets across the borough.
