Much-loved Bramhall market to return this weekend in support of local rotary club

An international food and crafts market is coming to Bramhall on Saturday 8 March in support of a local cause.
Worker Bee Markets returns to the village centre on the 8th from 10am until 3pm. Around 50 traders will be selling quality affordable homeware, gifts, crafts and treats in the pedestrianised precinct in the centre of Bramhall.
There will also be authentic Turkish, Japanese and Indian cuisine, plus Italian, American and British sweet treats on offer at the food stalls.
And in doing so, there'll be helping to support the Bramhall & Woodford Rotary Club, who are looking for funds for a new Christmas float.
There will be donation points at the market stalls throughout the day so you can ensure this Christmas tradition keeps going for generations to come!

Clare Simpson, Market curator, told us: "We love working with The Rotary and, this year, we want to do more, especially as, for the first time ever, we're also holding at least one event in Woodford (on 7 June at Notcutts Garden Centre).
"Our plans to help include a collection tin at each event, handmade items made into a hamper for the Rotary to raffle off and publicising their fund-raising to new and different people.
"Our special relationship puts us in a great position to introduce new people to The Rotary and to help raise much needed funds and profile. We used to live in Bramhall and enjoyed seeing the joy Santa brought to the children on our road, as well as the thousands of pounds they raise for many local, national and international charities."
Ian Dobson, from Bramhall & Woodford Rotary added: "Every year sixteen charities and good causes benefit from the visit of Santa to the area.
"Sadly, Santa's float is very old and is causing problems. It is feared that it will soon be beyond repair. The Club needs to raise £25,000 to buy a new one and ensure that the magic and this iconic tradition survives.
"We are confident that with help we can do it and that Clare and her wonderful traders at Worker Bee Markets will help us reach our target. Every donation, no matter how much, will help us to take Santa around the area safely and in great style in the years to come."

Worker Bee Markets, Stockport's only locally curated pop-up handmade markets, have been working alongside and supporting Bramhall & Woodford Rotary since they came onto the scene eight years ago.
Each year, the annual Scarecrow Festival culminates in a prize-giving at Bramhall Worker Bee Market, where traders create their own mini scarecrows too.
The markets offer a free stall to the Rotary when they are raising awareness and funds. Last year, Worker Bee Markets provided market stalls for the annual Bramhall Duck Race (back at Bramall Hall on 18 May 2025).
And you can still donate, even if you can't make it to the market. Donations can be made through GoFundMe or on the club's webpage at www.bwrotary.org.
