Police are appealing for information after a man died in a collision at junction 24 (Denton Island) on the M60.

Around 10.25am on Tuesday 11 February, two vehicles were waiting at traffic lights on the clockwise exit slip at J24.

Another vehicle had continued driving down the slip road to the roundabout and collided with the rear of one of the cars, which then collided into another.

Around two weeks later on 27 February, the 55-year-old driver of the vehicle which initially crashed was found dead at his home.

Officers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are currently assessing the crash and the exact cause of the man's death in the days that followed.

GMP have issued an appeal for information to help in their investigation.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police via 101, or via the Live Chat service at gmp.police.uk, quoting the motorway log number IML 2024957.

Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
