A special international-themed market will take place in Bramhall on Saturday 11 May.
Authentic food makers from as far afield as Turkey, Jamaica, Scandinavia, Japan and Macedonia will join British food producers and talented crafters at this unique event curated by Clare Simpson of Worker Bee Markets, Stockport's only local artisan market organiser.
The talented traders will pitch up in Village Square, purveying their goods from 10am to 3pm.
"The idea came from the local independent shops in the Village and the local community" Clare told Nub News. "Bramhall still has its own butchers, but there are less and less independent food producers. This is on opportunity to celebrate and taste a range of International foods and showcase local makers."
There will also be the chance to taste and buy local beer and gin too. Rochdale Brewery Brids Cross will be there, along with Heald Green distillery Emerald Gin.
Local food businesses are also involved. Polish Honey Pot Caffe will be serving a barbecue including authentic Polish sausages. Mediterranean cafe and restaurant Amici will serve their freshly made Italian and Greek food and coffee, while Plumcake Cafe, also in the Village Square, will be open for business too, serving lunch, cakes and more.
As a fun aside to the Market, which falls on the day of the Eurovision Song Contest Final, Strawberry Radio will be sending a DJ to play Eurovision hits from decades gone by.
It is sure to be a great day out for all the family.
