A local man has won a whopping £75,000 in an online competition.

Tristan Gregory won the sum after spending just £19.14 on tickets.

The prize draw was run by local competitions firm High Peak Comps, in what was their biggest giveaway to date.

Thousands of participants entered, at just 87p per ticket.

But it was Tristan who took home the jackpot, to be enjoyed with his friends and family.

In a statement on social media, High Peak Comps said: "Bosh. Take a bow, Tristan.

"Our biggest ever winner. £75,000 in tax-free cash. 22 tickets into the draw costing less than £20. Money well spent sir.

"Never in my wildest dreams did I think we'd be giving away prizes like this. Onto the next! Thank you everyone for your ongoing support."
