A Stockport Nub News sponsor will make someone £100,000 richer this weekend.

Online prize draw operator High Peak Comps will pay one lucky winner £100,000 this Saturday (May 30). It is the record amount of money the Buxton-based online prize draw operator has ever offered.

The winning ticket could be up for grabs for as little as 89p - with tickets available on the High Peak Comps website.

High Peak Comps has sponsored Stockport Nub News since 2023, and this Saturday evening's draw marks the company's largest ever prize draw, alongside winner Jade Lawrence receiving £100,000 with High Peak Comps last December.

Now, someone in Stockport could win £100,000 for as little as 89p, the price of a single entry ticket.

"Only a few days to go until our £100,000 draw," said owner Charles Edwards, who launched High Peak Comps in 2020. "And you've got to be in it to win it!

"We are proud to say that we are doing another £100,000 prize draw on May 30, offering real people a realistic chance to win this life-changing sum of money.

The winner of the joint-record High Peak Comps draw will be revealed on the High Peak Comps Facebook page on Saturday, May 30 at 8pm. You can buy more than one 89p ticket to increase your odds, however, entries are limited to 3000 per customer.

It's not just the general public who can benefit from High Peak Comps. The company gives thousands of pounds to charitable projects each month, including hundreds of pounds in the Nub News towns of Stockport, Macclesfield and Congleton.

In fact, the company will be taking on the Great Manchester Run for Stockport homeless charity The Wellspring, just hours after the milestone draw.

High Peak Comps has fundraised £1070 for the Stockport good cause and donations can be made here. Recent charity donations include £50 to Congleton siblings taking on the Race for Life for Cancer Research UK.

They have also donated footie raffle prizes raising money for Macclesfield Juniors FC in Macclesfield and Rose Hill FC in Marple Stockport. The company is also set to pay for a defibrillator at Heatons charity Stockport Signpost for Carers next week.
