Stockport Beer Festival | Masonic Guildhall | Thu 19 - Sat 21 June

Stockport's annual Beer and Cider festival makes a welcome return this year, in what will be its 37th iteration.
Run by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), it will run from Thursday 19 - Saturday 21 June at Stockport's Masonic Guildhall, and will feature more than 250 different beers, ciders and perries from around the world.
Around 60 breweries are represented across four beer bars and a dedicated cider bar. There's also an international bottle bar showcasing a diverse selection of beers and ciders, including lagers and imperial stouts.
There will even be some Home Brew competition winners, all commercially made at local breweries such as Marble and Torrside.
There will be a range of local favourites from Runaway and Robinsons, but there will also be some other surprises - such as three casks from the T.E.A brewpub in Krakow, Poland. CAMRA organisers described it as a 'coup' for the beer festival and an 'undoubted highlight' that visitors should try and see.
Also, like last year, visitors can also expect food and live entertainment throughout the event, as well as some CAMRA merchandise stalls.
PROTO - An evening of digital art | Stockroom | Thu 19 June | 5-7pm

Stockroom is hosting an evening of digital art featuring works from eight artists across the North.
A description for this "Join us for a special evening of conversation and creativity as we celebrate PROTO — an exhibition of early-stage digital experiments and artworks by 8 artists from across the North of England, developed through FutureEverything’s artist development programme.
"Bringing together artists, creatives and cultural professionals from Greater Manchester and beyond, the event marks the culmination of this year’s PROTO programme, which supports new directions in digital practice.
"The screen-based artworks range from virtual butterflies crafted from discarded cans and ghostly marine fossils, to layered digital bodies and spawning fungus. For some of the artists, this exhibition marks their first experience working with digital tools, taking their practice in new directions."
Art Social | Arc Centre | Fri 20 June | 2-4pm

Looking to make art, but in somewhere sociable? Art Social is the perfect place.
A description for this event reads: "Do you enjoy being creative but don’t want to be on your own? Bring your art project or sketchbook to the Hat Works café and join other like-minded people and Arc volunteers.
"Come along on a Friday afternoon, where one of our volunteers will host a creative table space for you to bring along whatever (not too messy) projects you're working on.
"Refreshments will be available to purchase from the café.
"Please note, this is a free event run by our wonderful volunteers. If you are able to, please consider making a donation so we can continue running these events."
