The winning combination of Stockport and Sophie Ellis-Bextor feature together for a new TV advert.

The ad, commissioned by Freemans, features the popstar outside Market Hall in Stockport.

In it, the singer-songwriter previews her new single 'Freedom of the Night', which releases later this month.

The ad will hit screens throughout the coming months, on ITV, Channel 4, YouTube, and more.

It comes not long after Ellis-Bextor was spotted outside Market Hall, filming for the new ad.

Freemans is a digital department store. It has said that Sophie and Stockport will be the face of their autumn / winter 2024 campaign.

Richard Cristofoli, chief customer officer at Freemans, said: "As one of the UK's most iconic brands, we can think of now one better than one of the UK's most iconic singers to lead the way with us as we continue to evolve."

"That is exactly what we have with this partnership with Sophie."

Sophie herself said she was 'delighted' to be working with Freemans. "I remember it was one of the first places that I saw fashion everyone could access and started a passion that I hold today", she said.

"Fashion for me should be fun, and I think that's exactly what we show with the TV ad. I love it and hope that you do too. Plus, you get a sneak preview of my new single Freedom of The Night. Exciting!"
