£500,000 in cash and 3.5 kilograms of illicit drugs have been seized in Brinnington as part of a special police operation.
The operation involved an intensified police presence in the area, and has ended in 'positive' results in reducing crime in Brinnington, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) say.
The deployment began on the 10th November and continued until the beginning of December.
Since then, £500,000 cash, two kilograms of heroin, 1.5 kilograms of cannabis and 12 vehicles has been seized.
This was achieved through an increased police presence, including drone units and traffic teams.

The operation has now ended but GMP has said it helped officers build intelligence and take suspected criminals off the street.
This means that local police teams have a better awareness of crime hotspots, people of interest and issues that residents in Brinnington are concerned about.
Chief Inspector John Picton, from Stockport's neighbourhood team, said: "From harmful drugs to dangerous weapons and ill-gotten cash, our operation has significantly assisted in disrupting crime and renewing our proactive efforts across the area.
"Our work is always aided by intelligence, and I would ask the general public to please get in touch with us – your tip-offs always assist in the action we take."
According to GMP, neighbourhood policing has helped lead to 500 fewer burglary victims each month and a 25% reduction in vehicle crime across Greater Manchester.
