Tens of thousands of pounds have been raised to help with the construction of a new St Ann's Hospice in Heald Green.
A total of £30,000 was garnered by fundraisers who took part in the Great Manchester Run.
St Ann's, which cares for people with life-limiting illnesses, has been looking to build a new hospice in Heald Green ever since the existing one became outdated and impractical.
In total, 87 runners took part in the run on behalf of St Ann's - among this group was a T-Rex, a bee, and a Pterodactyl (in fancy dress form, that is).
The biggest team that took part was from Cheadle Mosque, who raised an incredible £5,874. The money raised from Cheadle Mosque will go towards the new hospice, which has just begun building work.
Sophie Berkley, supporter of St Ann's Hospice, took part in the 10k race last year and her first half-marathon this year. "The route is fantastic", she said.
"There really are people cheering you on at each part of the race which is brilliant. It was lovely to see so many of the St Ann's team along the half-marathon route and those waiting in the charity village at the end to congratulate me."
Sarah Wolstenholme, events fundraiser at St Ann's Hospice, says: "We're so grateful to everyone that took on the Great Manchester Run 10k or half marathon this year. We'd like to thank them all for their fundraising and continued support for St Ann's. We can't wait to see who takes on the challenge next year!".
