Bask is coming back, in what has been dubbed the 'return of a golden era'.

The popular town centre spot - which closed in 2025 - is re-opening at the same Stockport Exchange site from 6pm today (Friday 1 May).

And it will continue under the management of Benji Taylor, Bask's original founder.

"It feels like coming home", Benji said on social media.

"There will be tonnes of the old Bask events that we had - but there will be a bunch of new and exciting stuff as well", he said.

"There's a six month calendar which is already filling up."

Bask will celebrate its re-opening with a massive party, featuring DJs and live music, running until midnight.

Speculation started about the return of Bask when Fitzpatrick's - the Irish-American sports bar and grill currently based on the same site as Bask - shared cryptic posts on social media earlier in April hinting at a potential return.

Bask opened in Stockport in June 2022, and quickly became a popular spot for nights out, live music, day-time coffee trips, and much more.

It was also famous for its regular events such as Mrs Boon's Tea Party, Bingo parties, acoustic nights, and much more.

Fitzpatrick's opened on the same site in July 2025. The rebrand will be taking place quickly in time for the return of Bask.
