The popular Stockport Council jobs fair event will return to the town hall on 19 September from 11am-4pm.

The fair will be an opportunity for visitors to explore job opportunities available at Stockport Council and with its partners, in what the council describes as a 'wide variety of exciting roles'.

Such job areas include adults' and children's social care, administration, events and digital services, and more.

As well as exploring prospective careers, visitors can also benefit from CV workshops and even informal 'practice' interviews on the day. In some cases, yoy may even be able to hand in your CV directly to a recruiting manager.

Advice can be found on writing CVs and job applications, and the Job Centre will also be on hand to help.

According to Stockport Council: "We hope that this fair will give residents the opportunity to speak to our recruiting mangers' face-to-face, asking questions and finding out more about our roles, employee benefits and what it is like to be part of our team."

There is no need to book, and residents can simply show up to the town hall on the day free of charge. Nonetheless, those who wish to book a free ticket online can do so HERE.

Why not head down and find your next job?
