Police seek information following fatal collision in Stockport at the weekend

Officers are appealing for information following a fatal collision in Stockport on Saturday morning (September 7).

At around 6am, a car travelling along the A6188 Tiviot Way collided with a motorcycle that was navigating a bend.

Sadly, the rider, a man aged 55, died at the scene. His family are being supported by specialist officers.

A man aged 29 and a woman aged 23 have both been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Enquiries are ongoing.

GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit is reviewing the incident and is now appealing for anyone with any information to please come forward.

This includes anyone with relevant dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage from around the time of the collision.
