A 29-year-old male has been arrested and subsequently charged following dangerous driving on an off-road motorcycle.

During the New Year's Day football match between County and Mansfield, the motorcycle rider 'decided to ride in front of officers and put members of the public at risk'.

Yesterday (01/01/24), police announced that the male had been charged with several driving offences, possession of cannabis and failing to stop for police.

The rider has been bailed to appear at Stockport Magistrates Court in February. Police said "his off-road motorcycle has been seized and will likely be off to the crusher".

Anybody with further information on off-road bikes is encouraged to contact the police.

You can report information by calling 101, LiveChat via the GMP website, or you can report information to the independent charity CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
