Stockport Council is hosting a 'public consultation' on a number of new proposals, to assess feedback from residents.

Below is a list of all the public consultations currently open for feedback.

Bridgehall, Cale Green, Edgely and Shaw Heath Parking Survey

This is a review of parking in the aforementioned areas. The council says: "We are carrying out a review of parking in the locality; the aim of the survey is to understand what issues you have with parking on your street."

Stockport Council is carrying out a review of parking in the areas of Edgeley, Cale Green, Shaw Heath, and Bridgehall.

The survey seeks to ascertain which times see the most parking issues. It also includes some general questions on parking, such as the number of vehicles your property includes, and whether it has a driveway.

It comes in response to residents' concerns.

The deadline for responses is 8 December. You can respond HERE.

Massie Street cycle cut-through, Cheadle

This proposal would see a segregated cycle route between Ashfield Crescent and Massie Street car park in Cheadle. The council is asking for residents' opinions on the proposals.

The deadline for responses is 29 October. You can respond HERE.

Newland Road quiet lane, Cheadle

This proposal would "provide a traffic-calmed route along Newland Road". Once again, the council is asking for residents' opinions on the proposals.

The deadline for responses is 29 October. You can respond HERE

Draft Stockport Education Contributions SPD

Should housing developers contribute to the borough's education spend?

Stockport Council is proposing to seek financial contributions from new residential developments to go towards education in the borough.

Given that new residential developments would bring in more families and therefore have an impact on pupil places, the council proposes that some financial contribution to local education will be a pre-requisite of planning permission for such sites.

Stockport Council is seeking feedback on this subject. The deadline for responses is 25 October. You can respond HERE.
