Stockport Council is proposing a new 'segregated cycle cut through' on Massie Street, and a new 'traffic-calming' quiet road along Newland Road.
Both of these proposals are currently in a public consultation stage, meaning residents can give their opinions on either or both of them.
The Newland Road quiet lane would involve 'five speed humps to reduce vehicular access along Newland Road, along with some new signage.
The proposals come as part of the 'active travel' scheme, building on the existing links between Queen Gardens, Oak Road and towards Cheadle village.
Meanwhile, the segregated cycle cut-through on would run between Massie Street car park and Ashfield Crescent.
This proposal would see a new, 3 metre wide two-way segregated cycle track through the existing closure at the western end of Ashfield Crescent, to provide access to Massie Street car park.
Again, this proposal forms part of general active travel plans and falls under the 'Cheadle Towns Fund', aimed at generally improving travel infrastructure in Cheadle.
Stockport Council says: "We would like to hear your views on the proposals, and specifically to what extent you agree or disagree with them.
"All responses to this consultation will be considered as part of the scheme development process prior to any implementation. Please be aware we may not be able to enter detailed correspondence with individuals about points raised."
You can respond to both proposals below:
The deadline for responses on both proposals is 29 October.
