Alfredo's Social, 'a new neighbourhood pizza joint and social', is heading to the Underbanks.

The new eatery will open in October at Winter's, the former site of Bistro Marc which has since closed.

The Winter's building, which dates back to 1890 and began its life as a jewellers, will thus have a new occupier after only a few months.

Workers could be seen this week commencing refurbishment work.

Paul Astill is involved in the new restaurant, a designer responsible for many of Manchester's most famous eateries - Crazy Pedro's, Cane and Grain, and more.

We might expect, therefore, a welcome degree of Northern Quarter style making itself a new home in Stockport.

Nub News has reached out to Alfredo's for comment.
