A recent Ofsted inspection has rated Bramhall High School as 'good'.
It represents an improvement on the previous inspection, which found that the school 'required improvement'.
In its report, Ofsted said: "Governors have expanded their expertise since the previous inspection. They are sharply focused on working with the school to continue to improve the quality of education that they provide, particularly for the most vulnerable pupils."
Ofsted praised the strong relationship between staff and students, as well as the school's 'high expectations' for its pupils. Staff were reportedly 'incredibly happy and proud' to work at the school.
"Pupils are provided with a wealth of opportunities to nurture existing talents and interests, as well as to discover new ones", the report said.
Bramhall High was also praised for its 'strong curriculum', which follows a natural, clear progression from Year 7 to Year 11.
Ofsted also praised the 'calm and orderly environment' which pupils learn in, as well as the level of subject knowledge displayed by staff.
The report pointed out only two areas for improvement, chiefly the implementation of a reading curriculum, and that "a few pupils with SEND do not receive a consistently high-quality education across the curriculum".
In a letter to parents and carers, headteacher Mr Paul Williams said: "I am delighted to announce that the result of our recent two-day Ofsted inspection is an improvement of our overall rating to 'good' in all areas.
"Bramhall High School staff have worked incredibly hard to achieve this fantastic result throughout a period of additional difficulties and disruption. I could not be prouder of them and our wonderful students who contributed so much over the inspection."
A 'good' rating represents a 'grade two' by Ofsted metrics. Grade one is 'outstanding', grade three is 'requires improvement', and grade four is 'inadequate'.
