The organisers of the Made in Stockport Awards are searching for sponsors for the June 2024 ceremony at Heaton Moor's Savoy cinema.
The awards aim to celebrate the huge range of businesses across Stockport borough. All manner of businesses, from food, crafts, independent shops and more compete across nine categories.
In the spirit of local business, local sponsors are encouraged to sponsor one or more of these nine categories.
Being a category sponsor costs £150, and includes a listing on the voting page, promotion on social media, and a logo on the finalist and winner awards material. It also includes a logo on a banner at the awards ceremony, and the sponsor will be featured in the awards programme. The sponsor will also get one ticket.
Seven categories out of nine are still available to sponsor:
- Business of the Year - sponsored by Robinson's Brewery
- Small Business of the Year - AVAILABLE
- Concept of the Year - AVAILABLE
- Food Producer of the Year - sponsored by Robinson's Brewery
- Drink Producer of the Year - AVAILABLE
- Best Crafter of the Year - AVAILABLE
- Business to look out for - AVAILABLE
- Capturing Stockport Award - AVAILABLE
- Independent Shop Front - AVAILABLE
Those who wish to get involved should contact www.aquadesigngroup.co.uk.
Winners (not sponsors) are chosen by public vote; last year they included town centre cafe Coffee Block, artist Kate O'Brien, and Romiley homeware store Echo Designs.
In 2023, the Made in Stockport Awards attracted over 6,000 votes from across the town.
Former BBC Radio Manchester and Key 103 presenter Chelsea Norris will host the awards, herself the owner of Minnie and Teds, a Stockport-based interior design and homeware business.
