A local lad is taking on an epic 100-mile walking challenge for charity.
Throughout this month, Johnny Shepherd has been walking three miles per day in support of Supportability, a local charity which supports people living with complex physical and learning disabilities.
The aim is to have completed a total of 100 miles by the end of the month, with a fundraising goal of £500.
Johnny himself is one of the people who the charity supports, so this is a particularly meaningful challenge for him.
The money he raises will go towards a new games console for Supportability's day centre in Heaton Moor.

Far from just a hobby, gaming can have massive benefits, especially for those living with disabilities.
As Dawn Cameron - a manager at Supportability - says: "Gaming has significant benefits for people with disabilities.
"These include improved wellbeing by creating social connections, enhanced motor skills, improved creativity, better cognitive abilities and problem solving."
Dawn added: "Raising this money also provides Johnny with the opportunity to make an important contribution to his friends at Supportability which creates a sense of achievement and has a positive impact on his confidence.
"Please join us in supporting Johnny with his important challenge."
