Students at Adswood Primary School enjoyed a 'fun-filled' trip to Chester Zoo this July thanks to a local business.

Together, based in Greater Manchester, paid for transport and entry for a class of pupils from the primary school, giving them a rare chance to see some remarkable animals up close.

On the itinerary were giraffes, elephants and bears, and each child also received a goody bag to remember the day.

Adswood Primary Headteacher Michelle Smart said the trip was 'excellent' - "you could see from the smiles on all the children's faces just how much it meant to them", she said.

"Not only did they enjoy a fun-filled and memorable day, but they also had the chance to learn more about our natural world first-hand.

"Trips like these spark curiosity and bring education to life — they're essential to a child's learning experience.

"We're incredibly grateful to Together for funding this trip. Their support made it possible for every child to take part, and it was clear just how much it meant to our school community."
