Stockport County issues statement after club crest used without permission in 'hateful' propaganda

Stockport County has said there is 'no place for hate', after the club's crest was used without permission on 'political propaganda' used to promote 'hate and division'.
The club was made aware of instances of the County badge appearing alongside anti-LGBTQ imagery and symbols.
Nub News understand that this included stickers for sale online which contained divisive slogans and images.
In a statement, a County spokesperson said: "Our club crest is a registered trademark and a symbol of unity, community, and the collective passion for football at Edgeley Park.
"It represents all our fans, staff, players, and the wider Stockport community, regardless of their individual political beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, religion, or any other characteristic."
In the same statement, the club was also 'unequivocally clear' that Stockport County 'is, and always will be, a politically neutral organisation'.
"We urge all supporters to respect the Club's neutrality and help us maintain an environment where everyone feels welcome and united by their love for County", the spokesperson added.
