'It's a fantastic honour' - Richard Madeley reacts to lookalike contest in Edgeley

Richard Madeley himself has responded after a lookalike contest in his honour was held in Edgeley this weekend.
The event attracted hundreds of attendees, and quickly gained traction on social media and even on TV news channels.
Bagging the number one spot was Larry the Pug, who sported a wig and bow tie to capture the resemblance of the Good Morning Britain presenter.
Presenters on today's episode of This Morning discussed and joked about the contest, before revealing that they'd been in touch with Richard about it - he'd sent in a video to be aired, showing his reaction.
"Well, obviously this is a fantastic honour", Richard Madeley said in the video.
"It's something that any television presenter could only dream of - to be compared to a pug dog is incredible.
"Obviously, I look forward to meeting Larry.
"Perhaps one day he could sit in for me on Good Morning Britain. He could cover the 'lead' story."
The contest took place in Alexandra Park on Sunday 17 August, having been advertised a few weeks prior with a series of anonymous posters placed around the park and Edgeley.
Although some speculated it might be a quick joke, they were proved wrong by the veritable Madeley-themed bonanza which took over Alexandra Park over the weekend.
Hundreds streamed down to the park, whether as spectators or participants.
Worthy runners up who received some Madeley-themed prizes (lucky them).
