Edgeley Park will be an entirely cashless venue from the start of the 2025 / 26 season, Stockport County has announced.

Card payments will be required in all parts of the ground from the start of the season onward.

A County spokesperson explained it will reduce queue times and overall improve efficiency throughout the stadium.

While card payments will be required for everything from store purchases through to half-time draw tickets, cash will still be allowed for the matchday bucket collections.

The County spokesperson added: "This move aligns with practices at many clubs across the country and is aimed at providing supporters with a simpler and more efficient purchasing process for tickets, food, drinks, and merchandise.

"We thank supporters for their co-operation with this new system."
