Buxton Road could be set for a new shop and flats.
Plans to convert the former Curtain Craft store at 329 Buxton Road have been submitted to Stockport Council.
The plans would see the building converted to house two self-contained apartments and retail space on the ground floor.
One apartment would sit on the ground floor, with the other on the floor above. The upper floor apartment would lead onto a roof terrace.
It is unclear as yet what kind of retail space the ground floor would house.
The facade of the building is not expected to change much as part of the redevelopment, so the scene will remain largely the same from the A6.
The planning statement also argues that the building could help reduce crime in the area by increasing the level of 'natural surveillance'.
The standard consultation expiry date is 23 February, and 1 March for neighbours. Make comments HERE.
The determination deadline is 21 March.
