The body of what is believed to be a missing 25-year-old man has been discovered in Cheadle.

Police detectives searching for Adeo Alston-Ekpei, who was last seen in Didsbury on 16 May, recovered the body on Schools Hill.

Although formal identification has not been confirmed, police believe that the body is Adeo.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said there are no suspicious circumstances around the death.

A GMP spokesperson said: "[Adeo's] family have been informed of this development and continue to be supported through this extremely difficult time.

"We would like to thank everyone who has shared our appeals and passed their well wishes onto Adeo's loved ones throughout this extensive search. We would now ask that the family be allowed privacy.

"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding Adeo's death and a file will now be passed to the coroner."
